This is my second draft of my contents page. I was happy with the layout of my first draft, so I decided to stick to that, with the way the pictures were set out etc. I changed a lot of things, as the first draft was boring and there was nothing really interesting to look at. I repelaced the pictures from the internet with my own images, but I chose pictures that fitted the 'typical' stereotype of the indie/rock genre. Instead of having the competiton at the top right hand side of the page, I decided to move it to the bottom in a black box, and change the font to bold in a red font so it stood out and that people would not be able to not look at it before turning the page. One thing I like about my contents page is the font of the masthead. The font looks very professionalk and suits the indie genre and I also like the placement of the masthead, because I think it makes the page look neat and tidy looking.
This is my second redraft of my double page spread. From my first draft, I felt that the page looked boring because nothing really stood out on it to catch peoples eyes and also, there wasn't enough pictures on it for people to look at. On my second redraft, I have inclduded more pictures at the bottom of the page, and added a caption above the picture in a bright red box to draw the audiences attention to look at it. One thing that I am happy with about is the masthead. The font represents her personaltiy as her being rebellious, and gives her to look of being a rockstar, refferring back to the genre of my magazine. I am also happy with the main photo that I have used on the page because I think it looks like a professional photo shoot, making my magazine look professional also.
